I remember when I was younger and I wanted to be beautiful; now I’m older and I want to be intelligent. I want to burn hearts with brilliance and engulf souls with compassion. I want to be loved for my thoughts and nothing else.

Sticks and stones are hard on bones, aimed with angry art, words can sting like anything, but silence breaks the heart.

Are You Too INTENSE?

I was just told that I am TOO intense. Too intense for what? For who? Clearly, too intense for that person to cope with.
This is not my problem, it is theirs.
Remember friends, if somebody tells you that you are too this or too that, it only means that you don’t fit into their little boxes and that makes them uncomfortable. You challenge their thinking and some people don’t like challenge. That is their choice. At some point, they will have to meet, match, and grow through the challenge if they are going to thrive in life.
Are you content to stagnate and just get by? If so, change how you are so you fit into someone else’s little boxes. If not, be joyful in who you are, knowing that you are how you need to be in your progress toward being a thriving being.
Too intense? Bah! I’m just right. I like to think of it as being vibrantly alive!

Truth and Authenticity

How Do I Know It Is Real? One question I had at the beginning of my studies is one I hear from everybody who approaches me about shamanism and that is, “how do I know that what I see in my dream journeys is real?” We can, of course, project our desires and preconceived notions…
